    C2 - Speedometer question

i had my speedometer out and on a shelf for about a year. i just reinstalled it and it reads slow, at about 50 mph, it reads about 20 mph. the needle is smooth and steady, not jumping. i didn't do anything to the speedometer or anything associated with it. has anyone had this problem?

It would be my guess that the lube in the speedo head has dried out. You can take WD-40 or other light viscosity oil and lube the pivot points

        Re: C2 - Speedometer question

i've got it out and it doesn't look like a lub problem. with my finger, the needle moves freely through out it's range, i put a drop of light oil on the movement anyway. everything seems to be in the right place and working. i moved the spring adjustment throught it's range and that just pretty much changed the "0" point. i used my veriable speed drill motor and with 1600rpm, it only went to the 20mph, i figure 1600rpm should be about 65mph. is there another adjustment?
