Several questions. Would like to attempt to repair/re-attach the headliner pieces in my 69 hardtop. It's slightly warped from water damage, and has taken a "set". The grippers will no longer hold it. It fits terribly...hangs down by the rear window, etc. Anyone have any luck reshaping the headliner itself these to remove the warpage? Has anyone replaced the "velcro" type grippers on both the headliner and the hardtop itself? How can the grippers be re-riveted? Anyone have any experience with the repro headliners sold by C Central? Chuck

Re: 68-75 Hardtop Headliner Questions
Chuck; unfortunately I do not know the answers to any of your questions. I am interested though, because I may face the same ones soon. I am also curious as to why there appears to be no one out there, commercially, that specializes in these matters. There is a company, whose name escapes me, that deals in mid-year tops but apparently not in C3 tops and later.- Top

Re: 68-75 Hardtop Headliner Questions
Chuck, I have also never ordered a hard top head liner for a c-3. I can help cut a corner for you. C-central gets most of there interior parts form Corvette America(yes I said it). Most of the people that post here do not care for them for some reason. I have yet to see why as I have been doing business with them for years and have been very happy with all there repro interior components. They supply most of the big vendors and alot of the smaller ones. They even supply some of the vendors, interior components that these guys like as When you go to there web sites(vendors specified on this board by members and posters) the pictures are Corvette America's and I believe they would not be allowed to use them unless they are selling the products
There colors matches are very good and fit and finish have not failed me yet. use there web site to order and any questions 1-800-458-3475 press 1 and then ext. 221, Matt V. is my Rep, great guy and very helpfull with any questions you may have.
Good luck Ron DeVries
