I am looking to buy new exhaust pipes and mufflers. Would I get any point deductions for putting the round mufflers on a 61 with a 245hp and how is the system from Corvette Central as far as judging?

Greg - One tiny opinion... First, I believe C/C makes their own exhaust systems and their configuration has matured to be pretty darn good. Unless you specify otherwise, the pipes/muffs will be aluminized mild steel which might cause a small deduction while allowing them to live somewhat longer in an unfriendly enviroment. Guess I'd go with the aluminized version unless you lust for the 100 point car. I've mentioned before on this wonderful board, I'd go with the round off road muffs no matter what. The ovals belong on a hearse. I usually give extra points for round muffs. Best, Dennis -

I had the Corvette Central system, round mufflers, installed on my 60 back in May and according to the person that did the installation he said it went in very easy.Comment
