    Holley Date Coding Question

    I have a '66 327/350hp.
The Holley carb is stamped: 3884505, List 3367, 0614
This "0614" is the date code. Can someone break down this date coding? Is this a replacement carb. from a later date?
Are these Holleys easy to rebuild? And if so what type of rebuild kit should I be looking for this model? Or who does the rebuilds? Thanks

are you sure is ZERO 614? if its just 614, then it was stamped in 1966, first month , 4th week. if in fact its a 4 digit date code, its a replacement. good luck on loosing the zero. mike

        Ken,

If it's 0614, it's date could be the 61st day of 1974, 1984, or 1994. If it has slotted fuel bowl bolts, it's probably 1974 or 1984. If it has hex bolts it could be 1994 or 1984. I'm not sure when they made the change in the 80's.

Your basic overhaul kit is available from many email outfits (Zip,CC, etc) or through Kragens (they are a Holley dealer). A basic overhaul is easy, but if you need to replace or refinish parts, you ought to send it out to one of the guys specializing in Holleys (see Driveline ads).

You also might find an original 3 digit date coded one on e-bay. the 3 digit code is Year(first), then month, and then week of the month. 614 would be the fourth week of January 1966.

Two 3367's on ebay now with 3digit code

Just go to ebay motors, search for Holley 3367 under titles and descriptions.

            Ken:

Try going to the Holley web site and ask them if they can trace. They were good about telling me about the wrong carb that was on my car when I bought it. I just gave them all the numbers and asked for help identifying.
