I'm in the process of removing the panel to get to the window stuff, I was able to remove the window crank but not the lock latch, and hints?

John,

I believe 56- 62 all had the same door lock knob. My '58 comes off by removing the retainer clip, same as the window crank, and the knob should pull off. If it doesn't, I suspect it's corroded to the spline it's connected too on the shaft. Might take some effort to work it off. I believe the shaft and spline are the same material and configuration as the window crank shaft.

dave's got it correct. spray a little kroll or wd 40 on shaft/knob interface, then tape knob/handle with fiberglass hammer head a few times and they usually come off. mike
