I've acquired another of these TI regulators, just to make sure that when (and if) I get the car together, I'll have one. Is there a method of benchchecking that I can use now to validate the units or ????

Re: 1116368 Benchcheck ('65 Transistor volt reg)
Loren -- The 1965 New Product training program booklet (TP-34) has this to say:
When servicing the full transistor regulator system, proceed as follows:
1. Check the continuity of the entire circuit in the SAME MANNER as the double-contact, two-unit regulator.
2. The regulator parts are not serviced separately. When a regulator is determined to be faulty (either the field relay or the transistor section), the entire regulator must be replaced.
Delco Remy Test Spec's DR-324S-2 shows Test Spec's (Bulletin IR-187) for 1116368 to be found in serivce bulletin IR-266, spec No. 4237 [which I don't have]. Voltage chart # 7 gives field relay closing voltage range and cutout relay voltage range and voltage setting range for 7 temperature points between 65 and 185 deg F, whereas the specs at the end of ST-60 give values only for 85 deg F.
Your Corvette Shop Manual '65 Supplement ST-60, section 6Y describes tests to determine the faulty unit (Delcotron or volt reg) -- if it's 1116368, you have a really neat paperweight.
