Of all the NCRS (or non NCRS) gatherings and meets, which would be the best to attend for the purpose of seeing cars that are actually for sale, rather than just on display or being judged?

Re: NCRS MEETS/CARS 4 SALE
Corvette Expo in Knoxville, TN is held twice a year and has plenty of cars for sale, including Corvettes, muscle and antique cars. There's also an auction on the first day of the show that's pretty interesting. You'll find a wide variety of Corvettes for sale from concours to rollers. The Spring show (4-05) is usually larger and has more cars for sale than the fall. It's been in operation since 1977.- Top

Re: NCRS MEETS/CARS 4 SALE
Russ,
I think August Carlisle has the best selection of NCRS cars - that are for sale. Although they can be founds at every cruise and event, to the Camel Nationals, Carlisle still has more of everything - including sellers with documents attesting to TF/Gold awards.
Re: Knoxville - I don't know about you but those 1977-1980? events at the Bill Mullins Tobacco Warehouse were the best those Byron & Ronnie brothers promoted. Semi's could roll inside and one huge room made for a weatherproof arena with a large but compact experience since everything was together. The year of the Worlds Fair was a disaster with the temporary partitions that were erected for sardine style "hotel" rooms that transformed that huge warehouse into individual cubicles for vendors and show cars.
After an absence of over a decade, I plan on attending this Spring, but the new location it awful. However I'll have my own indoor space to keep me warm and dry. I'm bringing along my Security Staff and the recently promoted Lunch Room Mechanical Staff Supervisor. This video 59 seconds long and a slow load on a dial up. Never ever say, You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Re: NCRS MEETS/CARS 4 SALE
Carlisle by far has yhe most for sale cars, both by auction and by private sale. Of course like any other sale it is buyer beware. You can become overwhelmed ay the sheer numbers for sale.Dick Whittington- Top
