    Re: 1965 trim tag code

Decoding the info on the trim plate is explained both in the applicable NCRS Judging Guide (available at the main web site; STORE) as well as in books like Noland Adam's Complete Corvette Restoration series.

JO6 is the date the body was built (the Jth month from start of production, 6th day)

Style code means it's a Corvette convertible.

Trim code of 'std' means it has black vinyl interior

Body code means it was built by A.O. Smith in Ionia Michigan vs. Chevrolet's capative body shop in St. Louis. And it was their 5638th convertible body of that model year.
