    1969 fiberglass color after repair

Hi, I've just finished some fiberglass repairs to the drivers seat mount area and lower rad support area behind the grill and was wondering what would be the best method to finish the repair so that the color of the repair area appears like the original fiberglass. I was thinking that a shot of some shade of black would do the trick but I plan to have the car judged later so I thought that I had better check with you all before I go and "pull a Bubba". Thanks

The BW to make a virturally undetectable fiberglass repair is to experiment with color additives to the fiberglass bond BEFORE you actually execute repair! Good body can eyeball the native color of the surrounding fiberglass and make a 'witches brew' of color, bond and shredded glass that winds up being uniform and virtually undetectable....

The color on most 69 parts is what we call black. Lamp black added to the resin will tent it. You can actually add some black paint to the resin. That should work well also.
