I can't find anything that shows the orientation of the weatherstrip for rear of the hood on a 60. Where do you put the ends, seam in the trunk?
If these are shown in any of the books, where?
Larry
The trunk end seams center the locking mechanism on the trunk as I have been advised on this Board. I have pictues of the hood weatherstrip. E-mail me and I can reply with an e-mail attachment!
I've always seen the ends at the middle of the back edge of the trunk lid - just on top of where the trunk lock is.
Don't know what the JG says about this seam. Most people today butt the ends together to make a seam. At one time the thinking was that there should be about 1-2" space in between the ends. That is, no seam, the ends should not meet. Don't know where I saw or read that. It was a long time ago.
