    C1 Body Imbalance

The left front is approximately 1" higher than the right front. Body has been previously off (prior to me getting it) and now bolted to frame. The engine and transmission are out of the car. Any recommendations for diagnosing/correcting the problem? Thanks. Richard

Have the frame checked, it may be bent.
Check the right rear spring for broken leaf.
Are the tires and wheels the same size on different sides?

I had the exact same problem and was able to correct it working with spacers at the body shim locations.

I read your post again. I would wait until you put the engine and transmission in before making any adjustments.

Before I did anything I would chech to see if someone has changed one of the Spindle Supports. The Vette is the same as a 49 to 52 passenger car but a 53 and 4 passenger car had the spindle mount boss raised up on the support to help lower the cars. I think there is about 1 inch difference in the spindle mounting position.
