What manual has the most acurite, comprehensive and detailed information for the 1966 corvette. I have the repair manual but it does not have information about color of componets on the chassis. Or how about the proper way to install the anti squeak pads for the fuel tank. Things like this that come up while restoring the vehicle.
Thanks as always for the great information you all provide.
questions to answers like your two sample questions are best determined with the NCRS judging manual(available from the Mortimers, membership chair on page 3 of any restorer mag or contact them thru this website). if judging manual can't anser your question, post here on the ncrs forum. good luck, mike
build a support library and include these three books as a minimum:
(1) The NCRS 1966 Technical Information Manual and Judging Reference Manual (what are judges told to look for?).
(2) The 1966 Corvette Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) -- what did GM tell assy workers about putting the car together?
(3) The 1966 Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual (what did Chevy tell dealership mechanics about repair and maintenance?).
Once armed with these basic books you can expand the library and, as Mike said, feel free to use resources like this discussion board for more details....
