    C2-Heaterbox Rebuild

    Dear Members,
I'm anxiously waiting for my Heaterbox Rebuild kit from Dr. Rebuild. I pulled out the heater core that is stamped 'Harrison' on the top and '75F' below on the end. The other end has a black ink stamp on the bottom '300857'. I've read so much on the cores lately, I'd like to pressure test and hopefully keep this one. What do you think? My other concern is with the core straps. Bubba has been lurking around the heaterbox by the looks of the cracks on the cover and the lack of core straps. Are the straps essential for a proper functioning assembly? Thank you much!

      Justin,
A new heater core at this point is a no brainer.. A 1975 vintage core has some corrosion and its a matter of time before it leaks. You probably ruin the carpeting before you realize whats happening.... not to mention the work involved to replace it later. Core straps and screws are available from Long Island Supply
