'58 Valve Covers

I have two sets of nice valve covers which are staggered hole and seven fin. One set has low script and one set has high script. The build date for my engine is April 4, 1958. Which set is correct? The reason I ask is one vendor lists both the low script and high script as applicable for 1958. I always believed that low script were for 1958. Was there a time frame when the low script was replaced with high script? As always, thanks to everyone who contributes.

There was a regular time line of changes to the solid lifter cast aluminum valve covers from '56 forward. You are right that by 1958, engines used the 7-rib version. Your copy of the '58-60 Judging Guide tells you:

"Optional engine valve covers are of die-cast aluminum (unpainted) with seven longitudinal ribs on top. The ribs are speced to allow for the word 'Corvette' in relief in the center. 1958 models have low-relief script (.030"); 1959 and 1960 covers have high-relief (.125")...."

I have the judging guide, and as I stated, based on my info, the Guide, I thought '58's had low relief. The vendor catalogue offers both high and low relief for the '58. Guess this answers my question. Thanks!

It is possible that LATE 58 used the high-relief
