Rob - As a poor excuse for an answer...

... I can't tell you the part number (that is Joe Lucia's territory), but I would recommend you order some big and small clips. Not the kind that retain the headlight connector things (way too big). My guess is that the first time a C1 got a windshield change, these clips were removed and never replaced in many instances. A little like ignition shielding. However, they are important to retain the wiring harness as any slight mistake will fry the underdash wiring. Worse yet, the entire car. The cowl vent linkage and windshield wiper cables are probably the worst two offenders. Best, Dennis

Thanks Dennis- How ARE the harnesses routed?

I've been standing on my head under the dash looking at everything in the way of pulling the old harness out. I am left wondering how it is that every single C1 did not burn to the ground after the steel wiper cables do the back-and-forth a couple of thousand times on the old, brittle, dangling wiring harness.....

For posterity, does anyone have any under-dash photos of how their C1 harnesses are routed? I have just gotten a Canon S500 that is actually small enough to pass between the pedal assembly and e-brake so I can see what's going on up there, but boy is it a mess!
