C3 427 3x2 dist advance connection

my 69 barn car has most of everything un touched, but i have a question on the correct place to connect the dist vac advance. it is an a/c, 4sp car and when i tore it apart the hose was connected to the side base plate of the center carb. it also had the clip on one of the valve cover bolts that i think held the steel line that was part of the vac hose connection. the steel line was missing. some other pictures show the vac line hooked directly to manifold vac. i have a 3 port vac connection in the manifold. a large tube for PB, a center port pointing up that had a cap on it , and a ribed port that was hooked to the vac canister. so which way does it go? it seems to me the 3 ports would be used for PB, A/c vac and vac tank?

Dick,

I believe you are correct in your assumptions with the three way connector. You need vaccum for the PB, AC and Headlights. Also, your distributor connects to the center carb via a short piece of hose to the metal pipe held by the clip and on to the dist. via another piece of hose.

The vacuum advance's vacuum supply would normally come from the carb connection and not the vacuum fitting on the intake. The location you mentioned at the base of the carb should give a full time vacuum source.
