I believe this Holley is original to my 1967 327/300 with a build date of February 1967. Please confirm. Thank you.

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Paul,
Looks like a later service replacement 3810 with a four digit number (1557) showing the date (probably 155th day of 1987) and hex head attachment bowl screws. If the metering block and base plate is stamped 3810 it would be the service replacement carburetor for your 327/300.- Top

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Thanks fellows. So I guess it is not original to 1967 and has no great value. That's a shame. I thought that fuel intake line angle was pretty unique. I guess not. It was just rebuilt by the Lars fellow in Colorado and is a nice unit.- Top

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Paul,
The carburetor looks to be in nice condition and I think it is a understatement to say it has no great value. It is the correct replacement carburetor for a 1967 327/300HP vette. It will not have the value of a original dated 3810 but at the same time keep in mind it is a 3810.- Top

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
This is a correct "service replacement" carb for your car. Having a correct service replacement carb will cost you only 25% of the 40 available originality points during NCRS judging, so the deduct is only 10 points. You would probably get all 20 of the points allocated to condition, so this is not such a big hit.
By the way, I have heard that Holley is now reproducing the 3810 carb, at a price of about $500. Does anyone know if the Holley reproduction would only be subject to the same 10 point deduction?- Top

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Joe,
Yes, the 3810 Holley is available. It has the chev. part number and List 3810 just like the one in the picture but it is NOT dated. Leaves the date coding to your pleasure. It is made and assembled by Holley but the metering block does not have the correct numbers and the mounting bolts for the bowls would have to be changed to the earlier style.
It's a Holley, it has the correct parts numbers and it's in excellent condition right out of the Holley box. The nice thing about the reproduction carb is that it operates correctly at about the same price of a rebuild by professionals.

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Joe, you mention that that the metering block in the new Holley reproduction does not have "the correct numbers." Can you clarify what is correct for a 1967 300 HP base engine? I have an older service dated 3810 on my car, and I'd like to determine whether everything but the date code is correct. This carb has the old style fuel bowl screws.
Also, in an ad that I saw for the new Holley reproduction, it was only listed for a manual transmission. My car is an automatic, so I need the extended lever for the kick-down mechanism. Is this lever present on the new Holley reproductions? Do you know why they would list the new carb as being for manual transmissions only?- Top

Re: 1967 Holley ID Confirmation
Joe,
I don't have the info but looks like Clem has posted that info for the metering plate. I have no idea about the lever for 4 speed vs. Auto. If your present carb is OK for the auto you could just change the lever if the new repo was wrong. Simple change with a snap ring.
