POWDER COATING VERSUS PAINT ON OUR 1963 C2

WE WANT TO USE POWDER COAT TECHNOLOGY ON THE FRAME AND COMPONENTS OF OUR 1963 CORVETTE DURING PROFESSIONAL RESTORATION. IF WE DO THIS COULD JUDGING POINTS BE DEDUCTED BECAUSE WE DID NOT USE PAINT? WE WILL USE CORRECT COLORS. PLEASE PROVIDE QUICK AND ACCURATE INFORMATION AS THE FRAME AND COMPONENTS ARE AT THE SHOP AND READY FOR THE NEXT STEP.

I'm sure it will be marked down...But I just did mine and it's beautiful.
A lot nicer looking that paint.

John - If the powder coating matches the factory applied paint color, texture and appearance (sheen), there should be no deduct during judging. Some apply asphaltic based frame paint over the powder coating for a more authentic appearance. The choice is yours.
