C1 - Ignition Key code number location(s)

My ignition key is extremely worn. Where do I find the igition key code numbers? If there are multiple locations - which location is easiest to access?

Don,
The ignition cylinder is the easist to access. With the key in the ignition push a bent paper clip thru the hole in the cylinder and turn the key left past lock and the cylinder should come out. The number should be emboss on the side.

Your car uses one key in all the locks, and all the lock cylinders are stamped with the original key code (assuming the locks are original); takes about 15 seconds with a bent-open paper clip to remove the ignition lock cylinder.

Don, if there is no key number on the ignition lock, it is probably not the original. A common practice among lock-smiths is to file off the number after they re-key another ignition lock to an original key. If this is the case, check the other locks for matching lock numbers.
