The antenna components on my '67 are original, grounding plate, body, bezel, etc. When viewed from the back, the antenna is not vertical, but angles to the inside. I assume it should be vertical, and if so, is it possible I installed something incorrectly? (The antenna itself is not bent)

Re: '67 RADIO ANTENNA
IT should be vertical. Loosen things up and see if you can move the mounting components slightly. Check to see that you have it installed properly and the aluminum piece is correct.- Top

Re: '67 RADIO ANTENNA
there is a barrel-shaped piece that slides down the shaft . its the last piece to go on before slipping the antenna mast up thru the alum. plate and body. its cut on a slight taper. rotate it till the antenna sits vertically, then tighten the spanner nut . mike- Top

Mike,
I'll check it out...if you're talking about the piece that goes on the outside, on top of the rubber gasget, there's a tab on it that fits into a slot in the hole in the fiberglass, so I really can't rotate it much.- Top
