    C1 Soft top

I'm sorry to hit the board with so many questions at once, but it's getting more and more obvious that Bubba did the soft top on my '59 the last time it was done. I've searched the multiple places that I know of to find the answers to these questions, but can't find acurate answers.
On a '59 soft top, does the rear bow attach to the frame on the inboard side, or the outboard side? I have it on the outboard side now, and it fits well, however, on some of the literature that Al Knoch supplied it appears that the rear bow on a '59 attaches on the inside. He seems to show it on the outside on a 61 or 62 frame. Which way is it for a '59?
Also, my frame has a male snap on each side on the rear part of the frame that supports the weatherstipping that goes against the rear of the side glass. In my new top kit, there are two straps that obviously attach to these snaps. Where does the other end go? How are they attached? I can't find any place where this is shown.
Finally, the weatherstripping for the rear bow on a '59. I can see there are holes in it for the screws for the rear latches, as well as holes for the two additional nutserts that are in the rear bow. Is it stapled on to the tack strip also? Al's video only shows putting a Mohair on a '58 top, so they didn't cover a '59. Thanks to all in advance!

Rear bow goes on the outside. The two nutserts you mention are where the other end of the strap goes. The nutsert should be another male snap like the one on the frame. The male snap goes trough a hole in the strap before screwing into the rear bow. The strap should have the female snap that attaches to the male nutsert (snap) on the rear bow when the top is up. When you put the top down the strap is unsnapped from the rear bow and snapped to the top frame behind the side windows. The purpose is to hold the rear bow to the frame when lowering into the top compartment.

Perfect Greg! You've gotten me a long way with my questions. What was the original orientation of that strap when the top was up? Going up from the male snap and looping back down, or looping from the side and back across? Also, do you know how the rear bow weatherstripping is attached, other than the three screws per side for the latches and the snap like you just described?
