Dear sir, Your union 76 114( Drag racers call it "Super Stock") is at least two years old. Union 76 sold out and sold the racing gas end of the business to Mr. Tim Wohs. That is why 76 is not doing the NASCAR fuel any more. I worked with him for many years as I have done the fuel testing for the National Hot Rod Association since the Winternationals of 1964. Mr Wohs is marketing the 76 fuel now under the name of "Rocket racing fuels". Your fuel will stay good as long as you keep it in a sealed metal container. The light ends of racing fuel evaporate very quickly and will go thur plastic. We have had instances of pro stock teams having fuel that failed our tests because they stored their "Pro Stock" fuel in plastic jugs( also V.P.,Sunoco, ERC, Koch, Phillips, and others). Also never store fuel in a vented tank, again the light ends evaporate.(light end give the most horsepower). Union 76 also made a fuel drag racers called 76 "Stock" it was a yellowish orange, octane 110, and 76 "Pro stock" which was light yellow and 118 octane. Rocket now calls these fuels "Rocket 110, 114, and 118. I dont know what state the owner of the drum of Union 76 gas is from and don't care but be careful when using racing fuel as it still has some lead in it. I have heard that California has some road side portable equipment that can sniff lead, tolulene, propalene oxide and other chemicals we used to put in our fuels. Anything else along these lines I will be glad to help as I have recieved lots of help from this site on my corvette and this is the first subject I have experience on. Dale0248@aol.com
