Did you use it? How did it work? I was looking at it on ebay. I wish there was a rental place for Corvette speciality tools.

Works fine for me but then again I am a little biased. Terry

          Re: Crossmember dent removal tool.

Hi, thank you for contacting me about the crossmember tool. I will contact you by email and work out some sort of deal with you. Please don't use a slide hammer on your crossmember, I really believe my tool would do a better job of restoring it to its original contour. Time and money, my tool works extremely well and the chances of making things worse is next to nill. In most cases it is much better than cutting that section out and welding in a new section. I believe in keeping the car as original as possible and above all else do no harm. I think the slide hammer would make things worse. You would either have to drill holes or weld bolts onto the face of the crossmember. The results wouldn't be that great and probably leave the surface puckered or cratered looking. Welding on a car that has the body on it can be dangerous especially in that crossmember section. It will probably have grease in it and it will catch fire. I have tried it even after cleaning the crossmember very well and it still caught fire (no bad outcome but who needs that sort of stuff). You can go to ebay and look up corvette crossmember tool and see pictures of a 68 that I pulled out. It came out very nice. Thanks for asking about the tool. I will contact you soon. Thank you, Terry

Bought one of the tools for the crossmember on my '65, Worked perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone in meed of repair for the typical crossmember dents.
