old friend just picked up his new c-6, brought it out for me to take a drive in. its a 6 speed with 3.4 something gears. had 100 miles on it. told me to thrash it. i believe it'd get in the 12's. hell of a car for a base model.it's the new orange color which actually has strong resemblance to the 55 vette copper color. might have to consider the Z06 when it hits the streets. mike

Re: just drove a new C-6
Mike,
I went by the local dealer yesterday and 'All sold out!' I did get the brochure with CD and the Rolling Stones pamphlet inside. I haven't heard the CD yet, but I guess GM paid for good tunes! I'm still getting around the headlights that are fixed like back in 1962. I'd love to take one and wring it out.

Not a CD...It's A DVD!
Justin, that's no CD...that be a DVD showing the "Boy's Dream" commercial that was withdrawn (Stones' "Jumping Jack Flash" in the background), C6 in development at Nurburgring road course in Germany (driver narrated..."now we're on the high-bank turn...down on the jounce bumpers..."), going 180mph and passing Porsches on the Autobahn, and details on new features.
You are lucky to get the brochure...some guys that bought the car still can't get the brochure. They are available through the NCM...$25 per.- Top

Re: And that was my ALL TIME favorite commercial t
I believe the PC police thought it would start an epidemic of impressionable pre-adolescent boys (and girls) stealing Corvettes to do donuts, burnouts, side-ways slides, and other geezeresque stunts.
The DVD also had a lot of background on making of the commercial...where it was shot, how much shooting it took to edit down to 30 seconds, the boy playing the driver, etc. Stop by your Chevy dealer, Tracy...Maybe you can get lucky like me. ;D- Top
