I was at the DMV this morning and overheard a conversation between the owner of a '68 convertible and the examiner. The VIN was not anywhere on the car. The examiner told her to go back into the office and deal with the problem.
The woman said a few cusswords and said she was "gonna dump that thing" and that this was the "last straw"! I took note and asked her if she really wanted to get rid of it and she said "YES!. She gave me her phone #. B4 I left I noted the mileage at 55000 (or 155000 - who knows!). The car looks good from a distance and looks recently painted (Maroon). 4-speed, 327 - 350hp (according to the decal on the air cleaner), has a small block and someone put a 427 hood on it. The interior appears new. It appears to be a nice driver.
Assuming there are no hidden "gotchas" what's this car worth? What would be the lowest reasonable offer? I would of course make sure the title is clear have it thoroughly checked out B4 purchase.
Thx
Michael
