    C1- Judging Form

Where can I get a copy of a judging form for a 1957. The judging manual does not contain a copy. It would be nice to look over during the winter to determine where to spend the $$ to get the most points if I decide to show. Car is a "driver" and will need to complete an inventory to see where it stands.

Steve, in addition to the current 57 Judging Manual, recommend you purchase from NCRS Cincinnati the 53-62 Operations Manual & Performance Verification Test Guide, the Corvette Judging Reference Manual (contains Judging Sheets) and the 57 Assembly Manual. All of these will assist you in preparing your 57 for NCRS Flight Judging. Good luck, Gary #5895....

The 65 manual does not contain a copy but, as was suggested on this board, I emailed Roy Sinor and a week or so later he send my a pdf copy of them.

They should probably be posted on this board somewhere to be downloaded.

I agree 100%, if the judging sheets already exisit in PDF format, why not make them available on this site.

Why provide yet another free-of-charge service to non-members?

Thanks Dave. I'll contact Roy and try to get a copy from him. I've got all the books and couldn't find one in any of them. It would be nice if they were included as an Appendix in the Technical Information Manual & Judging Guides. That way one could do an audit to see where they stand.

              Re: C1- Judging Form

Good point, however, it seems to me that if someone is interested enough in Corvette restoration to download a judging sheet, they might be a potential member. Maybe a vendor would be interested in sponsoring a link to the PDFs as a marketing tool. Seems to me there is a multitude of options. Bottom line to me is anything that expands the hobby at nearly zero cost to NCRS is good. I have never been without a 60's era Vette since my first one back in 1963. I have half a dozen now and chose to join NCRS for the first time last year because this "free" message board heightened my interest in all things Corvette. Bill

I agree Bill free is good, or make them available for purchase from the NCRS Store for a nominal fee. My first one was a '68 coupe back in 1970 and I've had at least one C-1 ever since as well.

What's wrong with the current policy?

You can't have your car judged by NCRS unless you're an NCRS member, then once a member in good standing, the Judging Score Sheets are provided without charge by simply requesting one.... They are the intellectual property of NCRS and the current method safeguards the IP status (composers don't give away their copyrighted work product) without cost to any/all members. What can be more fair?

                    Please let me add...

...part of the reason they were removed from the juding manuals was NOT to deprive members, but simply, the score sheets were somewhat of a moving target as we tried to improve our judging process. Roy Sinor, NCRS Judging Chairman will provide the latest sheets to any member who asks for them. There really is no problem here - just ask and ye shall receive. Merry Christmas, Dennis

My comment in starting this was more to relieve Mr Sinor of the work of sending the sheets out, and for the convience of the members. In the future, I will be more careful about posting random thoughts.
