Still asking - PN 3736568 - what is it???

Those in the know may be able to help me identify a part:
It appears to be a cast iron water neck, thermostat housing, from a '54 Corvette with a curved cast number 3736568 and above it is the cast number 6.
Please help. Could it be from a '67 or '71?
    Thanks,
    Kent #6201

Doesn't look like any application in the 63-up time period, at least for Corvette.

Kent -- It shows up in my GM 1980 Master Price List at $2.42 (list). A close # (3736569) shows in Oct '66 Parts History index as being "removed from service" in Jan. '66. I give this latter reference because sometimes the cast # is one digit off from the part # (can never remember which way). Neither reference gives a Group #, so we can't ascertain its application. Nothing like this # shows in any of my Group 1.153 Water Outlet (thermostat housing) sources. It could be GM, yet not Chevrolet.

Maybe Joe L., with his vast data bank, can come to your rescue.

        Kent----

I can find no record of GM #3736568, either as a finished part number, casting number, or part ID number. If you are reading the number correctly, I have no idea what this part is.

I can tell you this, though: it is a Chevrolet Motor Division part number and it was very likely issued about 1957 or 1958.

Thanks Bill, Wayne & Joe for your assistance. The part cast number was correctly read and typed. "G.M." letters and another "6" below them are cast into the opposite side from the PN & 6. It looks like it came with parts for my '54 (since sold), might be for another 6-cyl GM product. It has an oblong inlet and bends 90 degrees up to what appears like a thermostat seat in a machined surface. There is a threaded hole on the right side where, I suspect, a heater hose connection is intended. Maybe Mikie knows? Makes a nice paperweight.

            What I've found

Many thanks for those who responded. Here is what I found.
Per the 53-70 P&A, Rev 2, (30B) manual, it is definitely a 6-cyl thermostat housing. Listed is part number 3741032 for the 53-4 Corvette. Could someone who has their original t-housing verify that number?
Mine still makes a nice paper weight for all my garage/shop construction receipts.
