    69 convert top strap plates?

does anyone have a picture of what the little metal plates look like that screw down over the convertible top rear nylon straps? they have 2 screw holes and must have some teeth on them to tighten down on the straps so the screws dont rip out. mine were missing and now that i have the new top kit im trying to figure out how to put it back together.
    thanks, dick

Very simple sheet metal plate with two counter sunk holes and a turned down lip on the upper edge to contact the material. About an inch wide by the width of the strap.

Wayne I have allways installed the lip down on the lower edge so the metal plate sets flat over the material. I have found them installed this way but they may have been removed before. Lyle

thanks guys. here is another question. the nylon straps are wider than the space between the holes. do the screws go thru the material then the plate goes over the sides and bottom of the strap? if you can send me a picture, id really appreciate it. send it to my home email.
        thanks dick

The screws go thru the plate then material. The plate is the same width as the material and about 1" long with a 90 degree lip about the thickness of the material. Lyle
