    anti-sieze

what is the best way to remove permatex anti-sieze? I need to remove it from a fitting so I can use thread sealant instead. Thanks.

If you're referring to Permatex Form-a-Gasket (the brown goo in a tube), it should be soluble in denatured alcohol.

      Mark,
If you really mean anti-sieze spray on stuff, I would try try using lacquer thinner.

Not the spray on stuff, but the stuff in the tube. Comes in two varieties that I've seen - one is a silver color and the other is copper. I've found that the stuff gets everywhere and is very hard to clean. I'll try the lacquer thinner.
