What is the proper way to remove the engine from a '59 with a cast iron powerglide. I took out three bolts from inside the inpspection hole that I imagine go into the torque convertor. Then took the normal bolts out of the back of the engine. I was planning on leaving the adapter with the tranny, but it doesn't want to seperate. It will go about 1/4 inch apart, but then resists going any farther. Should I take the adapter with the engine? Thanks.
