I've been asked to look at a 70 in Vermont restored in 2000 by Ron Bunnell....Ron's Auto Restoration. From the copies of work orders and invoices I have been given, it would appear a great deal of work was undertaken. Does anyone know this shop and the quality of work performed? I am told he is an NCRS judge but the restoration was not done to NCRS specs. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: I had a 5 year long experience with them
Geoffrey------
"...forget the 50K and move on"? I wonder if the person that suggested that would be willing to do that if it was THEIR 50K?
It's much easier to "move on" if there wasn't $50,000 involved. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: I had a 5 year long experience with them
I appreciate the opportunity to share anothers experiences with a vendor or shop or any service that I may someday use. Knowledge is a good thing.
Many years ago I took my 71 roadster to an upholstery shop for carpets and seatcover replacement. What a horrible experience and I didn't spend anywhere near 50K. That happened in 1974 and I still remember how this jerk threw my sunvisors at me when I asked him to check the fit of the carpets cause they didn't look right to me. This shop had a reputation as being the best in my area but I never saw any quality in the job he did for me. After this happened to me I spoke with others that got burned. We all wished someone had told us about this guy before we went there.
Thanks for sharing your experience.- Top

$50,000. Easy come, easy go. I remember when it used to be a lot of money, now it just ain't worth worrying about. Don't know why you would be so upset.
Maybe the guy that told you to get over it should drop it on you and then he can get over it.
