Does anyone know how to test a wiper motor on a C3? I ohmed the switch and it appears to be fine, so I need to check the wiper motor to make sure it's OK and I don't have an electrical issue somewhere.. Thanks in advance.

This subject (WSW troubleshooting) is covered in two places, one more fully than the other.... First, you'll find the WSW system described in reasonable detail in your copy of the applicable Chassis Service Manual, Section 12, Electrical--Body & Chassis where you'll get a theory of operation, schematic diagram and some general troubleshooting tips for the WSW motor, washer and, if an early Shark car, the wiper door system.

But, the subject is covered more fully (albeit a bit confusing because it speaks to ALL Chevy WSW systems, Corvette as well as pass car/truck) in the applicable Fisher Body Manual. There, you'll find handy-dandy Diagnosis Charts for troubleshooting, by failure symptom, for the system BOTH on the car as well as with key components removed, on the bench....

If you don't have these books, they're a GREAT addition to your support library for 'baby' and you can often find them archieved in the automotive section of local libraries as well as at local high schools to support their automotive repair course instruction.

Jim, I tested my motor with a 12volt battery charger. Hook up the neg pole on the wipper motor and touch the positive and it should work.
