Are tires that are P215-70 equal to the old F-70-15

Yes, both are speced at or near 775 revs/mile and have similar load capacity, however, if if you have 8" wheels, I recommend you go with the 225/70R-15 size.

The diameters are the same (within 0.1").

P205-70 I think, is the same.

Look up the revs per mile and OD for a 205/70R-15 and F70-15 and tell us what you find.
