    undercoat

I have read in past posting that the wheel wells on the C2's were undercoated to reduce noise and protect the paint from impacts under the fenders. From the point of reduction of road noise was any other part of the under body coated?

The wheel wells, and mostly just the REAR surface of same, were coated with a thin, asphaltic undercoat. No other part of the chassis received any undercoating, at least through 1972.

        Re: Thanks Joe

3M has a product that is very similar to what GM used to undercoat the fender wells with. It is Body Schutz part #08864. That is what I used on the cars that I restored.
