    60 fender s/s

Today I'm replacing a NOS was still in the wrapping left top "side" long S/S trim. But the new one is 3/4 longer then the old one. Was there a difference in years.
I also have other new ones still in the GM wrapping L and R I need to pawn off.

roy: if you're refering to the long stainless cove moulding that is mounted in the vertical plane or side of the front clip, i believe the 58 to 62 s/s mouldings are some overall length. if you're referring to the top stainless mouldings that mount on the top surface of the top surround, i believe the 58 to 60 are identical but different from the 61- 62 top staniless mouldings. the long 56-7 side stainless are shorter than the 58 to 62 critters.mike

        Roy,

If you are talking about the spear that is on the top of the fender, I had a similar experience. I had to slide the outer "stainless" portion over the lower/inner "pot metal" portion to get things to line up correctly. I hope this helps. The stainless portion is crimped over the pot metal backing, and it can slide during transport and/or manufacturing.

I dont know that there were any differences from 58-61, but I do remember that the GM over the counter parts did not fit very well and were difficult to install. They tended to be too long and stick out from the edge of the front wheel opening. I think that it is just a typical GM replacement part.
