What are the correct side emblems for a 1970? The assembly manual shows four holes. Most of the emblems I see for sale have three pins, Will a thee pin emblim fit where a 4 pim emblim was? Where is the best place to find them.
My car was repainted and the emblims are missing.

The emblems you are seeing are probably service replacement GM emblems. I believe that you will find that Trim Parts makes the correct replacement. Most major vendors stock and sell Trim Parts repros. Such as the good Dr Rebuild, CCentral, Joe Ray, Keen and many many more.

STINGRAY side emblems differ between originals and repro's. The originals have longer attachment pins. The original emblems pins are twice as long. We look inside the motor comartment to see them sticking through. There is a thin foam-like backing on original emblems. You will also see a raised horizontal line below the dot on the "I" on repro emblems. Originals don't have the line.
Try to find original emblems. Put an ad in the Driveline under "Parts Wanted".
