1968 Aluminum 3X2 Intake and overspray

I have a '68 427/435 3X2 coupe and I need restoration help. The NCRS book says the factory left orange engine paint overspray on the aluminum intake. The molded mask that they used didnt fit correctly and paint got sprayed on the intake. Where does it start and where does it stop? I have seen many NCRS and Bloomington cars and NONE have this paint. The book only says that most people sort of airbruch or whisp some paint onto the intake but actually its suppose to leave a hard line. I just dont want to start spraying without the correct info. Any ideas guys? Thanks!

These alum. intakes MAY have some small amont of orange overspray on the edges. If there was to much overspray they went back and painted over the orange overspray with aluminum paint. Most of the overspray shows up at the front and rear of the intake.
