C2 Harrison Aluminum Radiator Ink Stamp

What production year did the white inks stamp begin to appear on C2 Corvettes equipped with Harrison aluminum radiators? Was it 1964 or 1965 through 1967?

    Thanks,

Thought this would be a slam-dunk to look up, but interestingly enough the JG books (63-64 and 65) make no mention of the white ink stamped inspector's mark on the radiator top surface ('16 CT' for SB, '06A CG' for '65 BB, and '06A MG for '67 L88), but I believe all C2 Harrison Radiators had this detail and ink stamp kits are available from the Long Island catalog....

      James,

From years of collecting parts for various mid years, I bought a mint 63 radiator several years ago at Cypress Gardens and the original white stamp was still visable. I have seen one 64 NOS that also had the white stamp. Maybe all didn't have the stamps but I would expect Harrison to run them thru the same procedures and stamp them the same from day one. I also have a 70 and a 72 NOS Harrison that have the stamps.

      Regards,

      JR

I have a very solid original rad in my 64 coupe but someone tried to detail the compartment with a can of flat black. They sprayed across the top so all ink stamps are gone. They even oversprayed the original foil tag. Did someone say there is a kit to restore the correct appearance? How would I know the correct location to put the stamp? Did the use special paint for the radiator for the heat or would semi-loss black be correct?
