    C2 kick panel repairs

The screw holes retaing the carpeted kick panels have become enlarged over the years on my 66. As this area is fiberglass, is there a trick to making the standard screws work?

    JB Weld?
    Plastic sheet rock anchors?

I have used Gorilla glue arond the holes to make it smaller using a toothpick for application. Works for me. I imagine JB weld will work just fine too.....

You can JB Weld a speednut on the back surface. This the remedy for 1978-82 armrest nose repairs.

Mine are the same way, loose. In addition, there's a few extra holes from previous owners apparently not coping with the enlarged holes and taking the "short cut". I used epoxy putty (the kind you lop off from a roll and knead the two parts together; nice because it does not flow and sets quickly) on my driver side and resin paste (Napa) on the passenger side. Will redrill the holes with the new kick panels as templates once we get back to the final carpet install.
