Doing some work over the weekend that involved removing a rear bumper and the front license plate bumperette on my C1. Little surprised to see bubbling rust on the backside/inside of these chrome pieces. I realize that many chrome pieces rust through from the backside. How do you treat the backside of a bumper to prevent it from rusting? I painted it with the paint that converts rust to primer. Is that sufficient?
