C3 Wide rear Tires

What are the widest rims/tires that can be mounted on the rear od a '69 without off-set T-arms or adapters? also; I seen 15x10 advised, were they an option for C3's and will they fit with modifications? T.U.

I can attest to the fact that a 265x50x15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tire will fit just fine, mounted on a stock rally wheel.

265-50-15 is a very difficult size to find anymore. I wasn't even aware that B. F. Goodrich still made a tire in this size. The only one that I know of is a Dunlop.

I have LR50-15 [1970 vintage] Goodrich Radial T/A tires on 15x8 wheels on the rear of a 68 and they just clear. I would think that 15x10 wheels will require some type of modification, probably to the emergency brake cable attachment to the trailing arm where the tire could rub.
