I am in the process of changing my 67 powerglide Corvette over to a 4 speed. I know that the clutch pedal assembly is unique to 1967. Does anyone know if the brake pedal is also unique, or will the brake pedal from any mid-year 4 speed Corvette work? Also, are there any other parts that are unique to 1967 required for this type of swap? Thanks and happy holidays to all. Rex #8089

Re: 67 clutch pedal
Thanks for the response Mike. I was told that ONLY a 67 clutch pedal will work due to the collapsible steering column. If I use any midyear clutch and brake pedal, will I have to change anything else, or will they bolt right in?
Thanks,
Rex- Top

Re: 67 clutch pedal
Rex: you are correct about the collapsable col being different and hence needing a 67 pedal assembly to fit. however, i think the 63 to 66 pedal frame will fit up in your 67. it'll be trial and error. good luck, mike- Top

Re: 67 clutch pedal
The pedal support assembly is unique to '67 due to the mounting holes and surfaces for the intermediate steering column support bracket; you can't use a pre-'67 pedal support with the '67 steering column. Keep the pedal support assembly you have and get the correct '67 pedals.- Top

Re: 67 clutch pedal
Thanks John. Volunteer Vette offers a repro 67 clutch pedal, but no brake pedal. Do you have any idea if anyone makes a repro brake pedal, or will a 63-66 brake pedal bolt in? If not, I will have to try to locate an original brake pedal assembly. Thanks again for your input and happy holidays. Rex #8089- Top
