What is best for the blackout on firewall and inner fenders, lacquer or enamel?
I bought some Krylon 1613 semi flat, a lacquer, and as a previous post suggested the formula may have changed because it is really flat. I then bought some Plast-Kote 361 semi gloss black but it is an enamel. Can one be used over the other? Is one better or more durable? Thanks. Pat
I am with Dick on this. I allways just use some Tuxedo black that is flattened to eggshell gloss. It matches nicely and you don't have to worry about compatibility with other paints. As long as you stick with lacquer paint, you will never have a problem. Spray some lacquer over blitz black or rustoleum and it will likely lift the paint underneath.
