    '62 Trunk Emblem

What's the best way to keep the trunk emblem on a '62 from leaking?

I've got the gasket in there, but the special nuts don't really compress it much. (I'm using the special tool too.) Looks like a bad design. By the time the water gets to the gasket, it's almost inside the car. Would dum-dum inside the bezel help?

coat both side of gasket with silicone dielectric paste(3M product) the tighten the nuts down as tight as they'll go without breaking the pot-metal studs that are part of the bezel. mike
