C-3 & C60

Was the vacuum operated hot water shut-off valve used used with all of the C3s that had the C60 option? If not, what year was it stopped. And finally, were they all vacuum operated?

An interesting question that covers many years but, as I understand it, with the exception of 1972, all A/C corvettes were equipped with a water shut-off valve, vacuum operated. Now, having said that, in 1978 (and thereafter) both A/C and non A/c were equipped with the shut-off valve and of course afer 1980 all Corvettes were equipped with A/C as base equipment.

Their was no water shut off on 73's with A/C. Lyle

Looks like our 73-74 tech manual fell short on this item is that is the case! But it makes sense...a carry over from 72 until engineers sorted out the deficiency and re-instate the water shutoff valve.
