    C2 Tire Question

I have Kelsey Hayes KO's with Bias Ply tires on it. What is the best radial size for replacements. Anyone have a suggestion for a manufacturer of White wall radials. Thanks

There are many repro midyear whitewall radials available. See the Driveline.

If you insist on whitewalls, you will probably be stuck with a low speed rating rock hard compound tire that will only offer mediocre handling and safety margin. The best size is 215/70R-15, but there are more available in 205/75R-15. Both these sizes are speced at about the same revs per mile as the OE tires so you your speedo and odo will not be thrown out of accuracy.

If you are willing to accept blackwalls, there is a Z-rated 215/70 available.

You can view most available offerings by searching the above sizes at www.tirerack.com , other online retailers, and the manufacturers web sites.

If you "gotta have" white walls AND you want a particular modern day performance radial that does NOT come in WW, suggest you call DIAMONDBACK Tire, they can smooth the sidewall and apply a whitewall to any ture . . . They put Goldlines on some nice HP Firestones for me last year, came out great, and the tires work like, well like good modern HP radial tires . . .

          Jack,

I would prefer a gold line tire in a radial other than a Coker tire. How can I get in touch with Diamondback tire? Thanks

              Why not Coker?
