How many point would be deducted for?

I have to redo the front suspension on the ole 65, I am thinking of powder coating the A frames and springs for preservation purposes. Does anyone know many point would be deducted for powder coating vs paint? I am trying to decide if its worth the deduction.

Should not be any if you get the color right.

i've ran a couple of powdercoated c-1 and c-2's thru Duntov process and no points deductions but ya gotta make sure the black is semigloss. had my 57 pass car frame powdercoated and the shop forgot my instructions and the black was as glossy as can be. i brought the frame home and repainted, over top the gloss black with SEM Trim semigloss black . mike

        Finish constitutes....

20% of the available Originality points associated with a given scoring item. Some line items on the Flight Scoring sheet cover a plurality of individual points, so you have to interpolate (count the number of parts in a given line item and divide the total points for that line item) to get down to the points for an individual part. Then, as others have said IF the finish you elect to put on the part is NOT detectable to the judges as being different from factory original, there may be no deduction(s) at all....
