Rubber splash shields

does anyone have any tips for installing new splash shields at the A-Arms? i guess the factory had a large stapler of some sorts.

i reuse the factory induced staple holes when installing new rubber seals. clamp the seals to the inner skirt or have a friend hold them in place as you drill thru the fiberglass into and thru the rubber with a small drill bit. then install the new staples and bend each leg with needle nose pliers. time consuming but worth it. good luck, mike PS don't drill into friends finger.

I usually try to reuse the original staples, but if necessary, remember to use real steel, not Stainless for the staples.

Mac,
Get the friend or wife to hold a piece of wood on the inside when you drill through from the wheel well side. A six or eight inch piece of 1X3 or 2X4 works great. This saves fingers and makes the job much easier.
