C3/71 Clock Repair

I have an original clock for my 71 that I would like to have restored. From the archives there's a place called the Clockworks that does very good work. I did a search and came up with a lot of clockworks. Does anyone have a link/address for this company?

if you want to convert it to quartz(which i do to all my cars), just buy the kit. if the face is messed up it will cost you. regards dick

Jerry at Clockworks is a super vendor. He's done several for me and every experience has been excellent. He did the clock in my 71 and he installed an NOS movement in it.

The quartz conversion will also cost you a whopping 25 points during Ops judging, if that's in your plan.

Yep.

Or Instrument Services Inc in Roscoe, IL will sell you a brand new clock made from the original tooling. It's not a bad deal unless you want to keep your original clock face so that the "patina" matches the rest of your gauges. In that case I "think" they will sell you just the inner workings to install yourself.

Thanks Dave, your recommendation is good enough for me. John, been there done that. The clock in my car now has a quartz movement and I lost 12pts (reset worked) at a regional meet this past year. I was able to obtain an original clock in very nice condition (face and hands) but I want to have the movement checked and serviced.

3/4 of the work is taking it out

so you could easily do it yourself if you have it already out.

Jerry: I had www.clockwks.com get my non-functioning org 66 clock working again with a new NOS Borg mech movement, new lens, and paint bezel. I had Jerry at clockworks do this last week. He called me when he received it, told me what it needed to be 100% again and had it shipped in a couple days. Packaged very well, arrived, installed and works like new. Highly recommend this business.
