    63 Distributor Shielding

    i'm looking for a distributor shield for my early 63 coupe. i've heard the correct one has 3 rivits in the top. is this correct and are they any more things to look for?

      How early is your car? Ther are a couple different shields.

          i was afraid it would get complicated. my car was built in december 1962, #4924

              The early cars with the AM wonderbar radio did not have the slots in the rear of the top cover for the ground to the tach cable. The later versions used the slots. I believe the Judging Guide has info as to about when the switch was made to the AM/FM, as well as an approximate date for the shield change.

                  your dec 62 would have had a wonderbar AM only radio so go with bill's description of the needed shield. mike
